BIGHORNS COMPLETE SWEEP OF THE D-FENDERS 

RENO, NV —- The NBA D-League Western Conference Leader Reno Bighorns (30-16) defeated the Los Angeles D-Fenders (26-20) 131-113 Friday night at the Reno Events Center.

Ricky Ledo netted 29 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and added five assists to lead the Bighorns. Erick Green scored 22 points, grabbed eight rebounds and added three assists as David Stockton logged a double-double with 20 points and 10 assists. Sacramento Kings Assignment Player, Duje Dukan, tallied 19 points and seven assists.

Vander Blue led the D-Fenders with 31 points, two rebounds and five assists. Ryan Gomes totaled 23 points, nine rebounds and four assists while Andre Ingram added 18 points and four rebounds for the D-Fenders.

The Bighorns would jump out to an early 9-point lead over the D-Fenders in the first quarter before the D-Fenders would go on a 7-0 run taking their biggest lead of the night with a 28-25 advantage over the Bighorns. Back-to-back threes from Dukan with less than a minute remaining in the first quarter gave Bighorns a 32-30 lead they would never relinquish.

The Bighorns continued to control the game in the second quarter with a 51-41 lead midway through the quarter after going on a 9-0 run. The Bighorns went 9-17 from behind the arc. The D-Fenders chipped away at the Bighorns closing the deficit to 55-50 with 4:30 remaining in the first half. The Bighorns responded with 9-2 run behind threes from Dukan and Ledo to end first half with a 72-59 lead over the D-Fenders.

The Bighorns would continue to maintain their advantage over the D-Fenders entering the third quarter going on an early 9-0 run. Erick Green would go 3-4 from behind the arc in the third. The Bighorns took a 90-73 lead over the D-Fenders with 7:00 remaining in the frame. The Bighorns won the frame 33-30, leading the D-Fenders 105-89 heading into the final quarter. Green scored 13 of his 22 points in the third.

The Bighorns kept control of the game going on an 8-0 run giving the Bighorns their biggest lead of the night with a 124-98 advantage halfway through the fourth quarter. Dukan netted eight points in the quarter. The Bighorns earned a 131-113 win over the D-Fenders, logging their fourth straight home win.

The Bighorns finished the night going 25-51 from three-point range.

The Bighorns will host the Idaho Stampede on Saturday, Mar. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Reno Events Center.

LEDO NETS 29 AS BIGHORNS ROLL PAST D-FENDERS

RENO, NV —- The NBA D-League Western Conference Leader Reno Bighorns (29-16) defeated the Los Angeles D-Fenders (26-19) 118-111 Wednesday night at the Reno Events Center.

Ricky Ledo notched 29 points and added five rebounds to lead the Bighorns. Sacramento Kings assignment player, Duje Dukan, netted 25 points and grabbed two rebounds as David Stockton scored 23 points and added four rebounds and six assists. Reggie Hearn had a near double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds.

Ryan Gomes led the D-Fenders with 33 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Vander Blue added 24 points and six rebounds while Justin Harper logged a double-double with 19 points, 11 rebounds and three assists.

The D-Fenders would jump out to a 4 point lead early in the opening frame before the Bighorns would come back to tie the score at nine at the 8:00 mark. Both teams would trade buckets for the remainder of the first quarter, with the D-Fenders entering the second quarter with a 32-25 lead.

The D-Fenders would maintain their advantage over the Bighorns entering the second quarter. After the Bighorns went on an 11-2 run, they would close the deficit to 49-47 with 3:53 remaining in the first half. The Bighorns won the frame 30-26 trailing the D-Fenders 58-55 going into the locker room at the half. Stockton and Ledo netted 12 points each in the quarter.

Trailing with 4:11 remaining in the third, a 10-2 run spurred by triples from Dukan and Ledo gave the Bighorns a one point advantage with 58 seconds remaining, giving them a 80-79 lead over the D-Fenders. A last second jumper by the D-Fender’s Josh Magette would give the D-Fenders a 81-80 lead heading into the final frame.

The Bighorns would open the final quarter on a 8-1 run en route to a tightly contested quarter that saw three lead changes and four ties. The Bighorns would take control of the lead after a three by Dukan, giving them a 101-98 advantage over the D-Fenders. The Bighorns would never relinquish the lead, earning a 118-111 win over the D-Fenders.

The Bighorns will host the Los Angeles D-Fenders on Friday, Mar. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Reno Events Center for Star Wars Night.

BIGHORNS CLINCH PLAYOFF BERTH WITH WIN

RENO, NV —- The NBA D-League Western Conference Leader Reno Bighorns (28-16) defeated the Texas Legends (21-24) 126-113 Sunday night at the Reno Events Center. With the Bighorns victory over the Legends, they become the first team in the Western Conference to clinch a playoff berth.

Erick Green netted 26 points and added three rebounds and three assists to lead the Bighorns. David Stockton scored 21 points, grabbed two rebounds and added six assists. Sacramento Kings assignment player, Duje Dukan, had 19 points, five rebounds and two assists as Ricky Ledo followed Dukan closely with 18 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

Jamil Wilson led the Legends with 25 points four rebounds and two assists. Chris Douglas-Roberts added 21 points and three rebounds while Patrick Miller logged a double-double with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists.

The Bighorns grabbed a 26-19 lead over the Legends midway through the first quarter behind eight points from Dukan. The Bighorns would maintain their lead over the Legends and end the first quarter with a 41-31 advantage. Dukan and Jack ended the quarter with eight points each.

The Bighorns continued to control the game in the second quarter after taking an early 49-34 lead after a jumper from Stockton. The Bighorns went 12-22 from the field in the quarter. The Legends chipped away at the Bighorns closing the deficit to seven with 2:13 remaining in the first half but would go into the locker room trailing the Bighorns 74-60 at halftime. Stockton notched 13 points in the second quarter.

The Bighorns would maintain their advantage over the Legends entering the third quarter after going on an early 8-0 run. The Bighorns would log their biggest lead of the night after a triple by Dukan, giving them a 107-79 lead over the Legends. The Bighorns won the frame 33-22 leading the Legends 107-82 heading into the final quarter. Green scored 19 of his 26 points in the third quarter behind a 7-10 shooting effort.

The Bighorns kept control of the game going on a 9-2 run to hold a 126-106 advantage halfway through the fourth quarter. The Bighorns would never relinquish the lead, earning a 126-113 win over the Legends.

The Bighorns will host the Los Angeles D-Fenders on Wednesday, Mar. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Reno Events Center for Sacramento Kings Affiliate Night.

BIGHORNS FALL SHORT AT HOME

 RENO, NV. —- Despite Ricky Ledo recording a double-double and Erick Green notching 31 points, the Bighorns fell 135-124 to the Texas Legends Wednesday night at the Reno Events Center.

Green led the Bighorns with 31 points, four rebounds and five assists as Kadeem Jack scored 22 points and three rebounds. Ledo logged a double-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.

Green led the Bighorns in the first quarter with 11 points and two rebounds. Jack netted seven points while Cliff Hammonds notched three points, two rebounds and three assists. The Bighorns shot 57 percent from three-point range compared to the Legends shooting 11 percent from three-point range in the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Hearn led the Bighorns with nine points as Jack and Akeem Richmond notched six points each. Hearn went 3-4 from the field and 3-4 from behind the arc in the second.

The Bighorns trailed the Legends 73-70 at the half.

Ledo paced the Bighorns in the third quarter with six points and five rebounds. Jack followed Ledo closely with six points and two rebounds. Hammonds scored three points in the quarter and added two assists in the third quarter while Hearn tallied three points.

During the final quarter, Green caught on fire, notching 16 points and adding two steals. Ledo totaled five points in the quarter as Jack and Gani Lawal scored three points each.

The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center Thursday, Mar. 3 at 7 p.m. to face the Texas Legends.

DAVID STOCKTON LEADS THE BIGHORNS PAST THE WARRIORS

RENO, NV. —- The Bighorns recorded their thirteenth straight home win when they defeated the Santa Cruz Warriors 133-124 Saturday Night at the Reno Events Center

David Stockton led the Bighorns with 26 points, two rebounds and nine assists. Erick Green netted 26 points and added two rebounds and nine assists for the Bighorns. Sacramento Kings assignment player, Duje Dukan, totaled 22 points, six rebounds and three assists during the Saturday night contest.

Dukan led the Bighorns in the first quarter with nine points while Reggie Hearn notched six rebounds and two rebounds. Ledo followed Hearn closely, scoring five points in the first quarter.

During the second quarter, Green paced the Bighorns with 11 points. Stockton tallied seven points and three assists in the quarter. Cliff Hammonds had three points and four rebounds in the quarter as Akeem Richmond totaled three points and five rebounds. The Bighorns outscored the Warriors 37-21 in the second quarter.

The Bighorns had a 70-51 lead over the Warriors at the half. The Bighorns shot 51 percent from the field in the first half compared to the Warriors shooting 35 percent from the field in the first half.

In the third quarter, Ledo tallied nine points, two rebounds and four assists. Stockton totaled eight points in the quarter while Erick Green counted four points. The Bighorns led the Warriors by 23 points midway through the quarter.

Green paced the Bighorns in fourth quarter with eight points and two assists. Stockton had seven points in the quarter as Kadeem Jack netted six points and grabbed seven rebounds. Hearn tallied six points and three rebounds in the fourth quarter.

The Bighorns led the Warriors the entire second half.

The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center Wednesday, Mar. 2 at 7 p.m. to face the Texas Legends.

BIGHORNS OUT-SHOOT THE MAD ANTS

— ELEVENTH STRAIGHT HOME WIN–

Reno, Nev. —- With the Bighorns scoring 83 points in the first half and Ricky Ledo netting 38 points, the Bighorns logged their seventh straight win when they defeated the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 135-117 Friday Night at the Reno Events Center.

The Friday night victory marks the eleventh game in a row the Bighorns have won at home.

Ledo led the Bighorns with 38 points, four rebounds and six assists. Erick Green had 26 points, three rebounds and three assists while Sacramento Kings assignment player Duje Dukan notched 19 points and four rebounds during the Friday night contest. David Stockton added 11 points and seven assists for the Bighorns.

In the first quarter, Ledo paced the Bighorns with 20 points. Ledo went 7-8 from the field and 3-3 from three-point range in the first quarter. Green notched 11 points while Dukan had five points.

During the second quarter, Ledo had nine points, two rebounds and three assists. Green followed Ledo closely, totaling nine points in the second quarter. Stockton notched seven points and three assists in the second quarter.

The Bighorns outscored the Mad Ants 83-64 in the first half. The Bighorns shot 66 percent from the filed compared to the Mad Ants shooting 48 percent from the field.

Dukan led the Bighorns in the third quarter with seven points as Cliff Hammonds scored five points and two rebounds. Stockton had four points and two assists in the quarter.

In the final quarter, Green totaled six points, three rebounds and two assists while Ledo had six points and two assists. Hammonds and Reggie Hearn each added five points, two rebounds and two assists for the Bighorns during the quarter.

The Bighorns travel to Los Angeles to face the D-Fenders Saturday, Feb. 20 at 6:30 p.m.
